New study

When we met this past Sunday, May 15, we decided as a group to begin a marriage study. We selected "Fireproofing Your Marriage" by Jennifer Dion. I am not sure if it is available at Family Christian Stores, but as per Adam's suggestion, this website is offering the best pricing of $4.95 for the participants book.

We will not be meeting this Sunday, May 22, but will be meeting on May 29. Please plan to have your book purchased and with you so that we can start our study.

Also, do we have any volunteers to bring dinner on the 29th? You can email, call or comment here to let me know. After that, I will get a schedule put together.

Danny & Jodi - Prayers as they drop one of their sons off in Oregon to live with his mother for a year. Prayers for strength, comfort and healing for the entire family as they are dealing with this.

Adam & Susie - Prayers for sleep and rest. Continued prayers for health for RJ.

Kevin & Malisa - Thanksgiving for Malisa's grandma's successful open heart surgery and prayers for recovery. Also, prayers of thanksgiving for health for the whole family, especially Liam.

Beau & Diana - Prayers for safe travels for Diana and Layna. Prayers for Beau as he plays single parent to the other girls.

Canceling May 1

We're canceling LifeGroup for May 1 due to illnesses. May 8 is Mother's Day. We'll be meeting on May 15.

Other discussion: We're talking about changing our study to either Love Dare (from the movie Fireproof) or Shepherding a Child's Heart. We'll have more information on both of these studies, and as a group, we'll decide which direction we want to go.

Welcome to our LifeGroup's blog: Life is Better Together

We are three families with small children ranging from age 6 to newborn. We are a part of Northern Hills. In the Bible, Jesus says that we should do life together and be involved in community. And, this is the foundation for our group. We meet on Sunday afternoons. The first three Sundays of the month, we'll meet for a bible study, dinner and fellowship. The last week of the month, we'll get together for a family fun time (game night, movie night, etc). Our focus is on learning how to lead lives that God has called each of us to live and being there to help each other out and hold each other accountable.
